More From the Chanel Spring-Summer 2022 Collection: 824 Verderame, 66 L’Indomabile, 794 Poppea, 792 Aphrodite and 50 Nero Metallo - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Viva l'Italian republic! Anybody wanna go to Naples? This afternoon…? We can tell our families that Lucia Pica and Chanel fabricated us do information technology. I tin can pack a handbag and be ready to go in an hr…
YEAH, Right! Who am I kidding? You know it would take me at least a half a day to pack my makeup.
OK, maybe a full mean solar day. ?
Lucia is shaking things up at Chanel with all kinds of color, and her latest collection, Spring-Summertime 2018, is a shout-out to her hometown of Naples, Italy.
If Naples looks annihilation like the blues, greens, reds and yellows in this launch, I could easily autumn in beloved with it. So permit's go, yeah? If you know a good travel agent, call her and get the hookup! Girls trip, April 2018! ?✈️?
OK, back to reality…
Bound-Summer 2022 is a pretty big launch, and so far I know I like the eyeshadow palette and the green liner.
Here are some quick thoughts on the other pieces I've tried (some which I like more than than others).
Ombre Premiere Longwear Cream Eyeshadow in 824 Verderame ($36, limited edition)
824 Verderame reminds me of a metallic foam version of MAC Club eyeshadow, but without the brown, and I love it with a matte brown in the crease, and either a charcoal or night green liner on the water lines. Information technology's pigmented and GORGEOUS. It besides dries in less than xxx seconds, then don't dilly-dally! — or you'll end up with harsh edges (a lesson I learned the difficult mode). Proceed the small white brush that comes with the pot, too, because it's surprisingly swell and piece of cake to use. The bristles deposit lots of color.
Rouge Coco Gloss Moisturizing Glossimer in 794 Poppea ($30, limited edition) and 792 Aphrodite ($30, permanent)
These are ii of the 4 glosses in the collection. They're shiny, moisturizing, non-sticky, and they briefly taste and smell similar roses when you put them on.
My favorite is sheer poppy red Poppea, which I ?. Information technology looks like a coral tint on my lips, and information technology's low-maintenance, playful and summery.
As for the blue gloss, it looks cool in the tube (and bluish glosses are supposed to brand your teeth look whiter), but I tin't see the tint at all on my lips…so it's basically similar wearing a $30 clear gloss.
You can pass on this one without feeling similar you missed out…
BTW, I'm weirdly obsessed with these doe foots (doe feet?)! They're shaped like petty boat oars and feel fab on my lips for some reason.
Dimensions de Chanel Mascara in 50 Nero Metallo ($30, limited edition)
I don't know why I even bother with other mascaras because Chanel'south are So Adept. One glaze of Nero Metallo is like three coats of most other mascaras. It specializes in book, separation and curl hold.
If Le Volume is your date-dark mascara, Nero Metallo would exist your daytime, workday version.
Chanel describes the color every bit metallic gray, and I can kinda see information technology when I swatch information technology on my skin, simply I can't really run into the gray on my lashes.
I'm in love with this formula, though, and plan to get it in Noir (basic black) as soon every bit I finish this tube. It's piece of cake to remove, doesn't flake, and it doesn't smudge either. All around, it rocks!
Rouge Allure Velvet in 66 L'Indomabile ($37, permanent)
Lucia Pica loves a red ? lippie, and this one is a pigmented poppy with a cease that looks similar brushed suede. I think it looks a lot like MAC Style Legacy with a shinier, more velvety finish, and it's also, um…how should I put this? Less aggressive? Less intense? More similar the soft matte finish on an eggshell.
Anyway, I hoard reds, so of form I dearest it. LOL!
The Rouge Allure Velvets accept my favorite Chanel lipstick formula because of how smooth, low-cal and comfy they feel. They aren't too drying, and I love that the finish is matte, but information technology isn't likewise matte, if y'all know what I hateful.
Adding this to my become-to crimson lip pocketbook.
